BLACK IOWA BISON
Black Iowa Bison is a full-grain American bison leather with a rich black waxed finish and plenty of natural character. The surface has subtle depth that becomes more noticeable with wear, while the waxes shift through the flex points to reveal hints of the brown undertones beneath, creating natural pull-up and a patina that continues to develop over time. Every hide features its own unique grain, with varying levels of pebbling and texture that ensure no two pairs are exactly alike.
THE MORRIS LAST
The Morris last has a traditional silhouette with an almond shaped toe box that provides comfortable volume without sacrificing shape. Designed for all-day wear, it offers a secure heel, moderate arch support, and enough room in the forefoot to let the leather move naturally.

SIZING

CARE
Bison leather is low-maintenance by nature. The finish repels moisture and protects the hide without much intervention.
- After each wear: Brush off dust and dirt with a horsehair brush
- Regularly: Apply a small amount of leather conditioner or neutral wax to maintain suppleness
- Wet conditions: Allow to dry naturally at room temperature, never near direct heat
- Storage: Use shoe trees between wears to retain shape and minimize creasing
- Sole: Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed
The leather will naturally darken and develop character with wear.

I think this is my 12th boot or shoe from Caswell. As expected, excellent boot. The handmade in Indonesia quality is evident right out of the box. The upper leather is soft but very substantial. All stitch lines were very clean. The double row hands stitch down is very precise and the overall finishing is beautiful. And the Morris last this is built on is one of my favorites, it fits my foot perfectly. The $500 pricetag is well worth it for truly hand made in Indonesia where other boots of this caliber would sell for $100-$200 more.
I really like the boots. To me, these new boots made in Indonesia seem to have superior quality compared to the others—a level of quality you don't usually find at Caswell's price point. The bison leather is both rugged and soft; there’s no painful break-in period. I hope they release new Stanton boots soon so I can by.
