Lisbon Stitchdown - Overdyed Cognac Horsebutt
THE LEATHER
This leather is produced through a specialized combination of adding quebracho and mimosa within the vegetable tanning process. During the coloring and re-tanning stages, it is infused with wax and oil. Subsequently, the leather is toggle dried, roll-waxed, and bright rolled to achieve a flawless luster.

A NOTE ON LEATHER
Each boot is crafted from authentic leather that may display subtle scratches, blemishes, and natural color variations. These characteristics are inherent to the material. The overdyed leather may also show shifts in tone, along with unique grain textures and markings such as spider web veining, dark spots, and scars.
CARE
This is a waxed and oiled pull-up horsebutt leather. The oils and waxes in the hide shift with wear, giving each pair a unique burnished finish over time.
- Cleaning: Brush off dirt with a horsehair brush. For heavier buildup, use a damp cloth. Air dry only — never use direct heat.
- Conditioning: Apply a leather conditioner or neutral wax when the leather looks dry. The natural oils in pull-up leathers mean conditioning is needed less often than with drier leathers.
- Scratches: Light marks will often blend back in with a horsehair brush or gentle finger pressure — this is normal pull-up behavior.
- Storage: Use shoe trees between wears to retain shape.
