THE LEATHER

C.F. Stead Rambler, finished on the flesh-side, includes an antique contrast applied by hand, beneath a blend of natural waxes for a unique natural 'marbled' aesthetic. The antique colors are blended to complement the base dyeing for an authentic rugged leather with depth of color and texture.

SIZING

The Morris last runs about a half size large compared to standard Brannock sizing — we recommend sizing down a half size. While the Morris is offered in a D width, it has a generous fit that comfortably accommodates many E-width feet.

A NOTE ON LEATHER

Each boot is crafted from authentic leather, which may exhibit minor scratches, blemishes, and non-uniform coloring. These are inherent traits of the natural material and its finishing.

CARE

Rambler is a waxed and oiled flesh-side leather. The natural waxes in the hide shift with wear, giving each pair a unique burnished finish over time.

• Cleaning: Brush off dirt with a horsehair or stiff-bristle brush. For heavier buildup, a damp cloth works well. Air dry only — never use direct heat.
• Conditioning: Apply a leather conditioner or neutral wax when the leather looks dry. The natural waxes mean conditioning is needed less often than with drier leathers.
• Scratches: Light marks will often blend back in with a horsehair brush or gentle finger pressure — this is normal pull-up behavior.
• Storage: Use shoe trees between wears to retain shape.
